Brakes

Carbon ceramic and performance brake specialists.

Our brake service covers pads, discs, fluid and electronic parking brakes for BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche and other performance marques at our workshop in Al Quoz, Dubai. Where braking problems relate to ride or steering, we also inspect the suspension and steering.

What's included

  • OEM and performance pad and disc replacement
  • Carbon ceramic rotor inspection, including Porsche PCCB
  • Brake fluid exchange and ABS bleeding
  • Electronic parking brake service and calibration
  • Wear sensor reset and brake system scan
  • Caliper, slider and hose inspection, checking the surrounding components rather than treating worn pads as an isolated problem
  • Fixed written quotation with photo and video evidence, separating the inspection findings from the proposed parts and explaining any non-OEM alternatives before you make a decision

Common signs you need it

Changes in braking deserve attention rather than assumptions, and checking symptoms early can help distinguish worn pads from other faults.

  • 01

A squeal or grinding noise when braking, or a brake wear warning on the dashboard

  • 02

A pulsing pedal or steering wheel shake under braking, often caused by warped or uneven discs

  • 03

A soft or low pedal, which can point to old fluid or air in the system

  • 04

The car pulling to one side when you brake

  • 05

Heavy dark dust on the front wheels, common on BMW and Mercedes-Benz

  • 06

An electronic parking brake warning light or a handbrake that will not release

How we do it at Rebel Motorworks

  1. 01

    Arrival

Call or message us on WhatsApp and we collect the car from anywhere in Dubai at no charge, with your braking symptoms noted.

  2. 02

    Inspection

We remove the wheels and measure pad and disc thickness, check calipers, sliders, hoses and fluid condition, and photograph the wear.

  3. 03

    Diagnosis

The brake and ABS modules are scanned with ISTA, XENTRY, ODIS or PIWIS, and we test the fluid for moisture. For oil service visits, this check can be done at the same time.

  4. 04

    Approval

You receive a fixed written quotation with photo and video evidence of the wear. Nothing is replaced until you approve it.

  5. 05

    Repair

We fit OEM, manufacturer-approved or quality-equivalent parts to factory procedure, with non-OEM options presented transparently, and give you live WhatsApp updates.

  6. 06

    Testing

Pads are bedded in, parking brake calibration is completed, the system is scanned again, and the car is road tested before handover.

  7. 07

    Delivery

The car is detailed and returned to your door with the inspection findings explained, so you know which components were worn and what was replaced. Keep the photo record alongside your service history for reference when reviewing future brake inspections.

Why Dubai conditions matter

Brakes work harder in Dubai than many owners expect. Heat from stop-start traffic and long highway braking raises disc and fluid temperatures, and brake fluid absorbs moisture over time, which lowers its boiling point. Fine desert dust also accelerates wear on sliders and pads. Heavy SUVs and performance cars feel this most. Read How Dubai heat changes your service intervals for a wider view.

FAQ

Straight answers about brakes at our Al Quoz workshop.

Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air, so manufacturers specify a time-based interval, not just a mileage one. Dubai heat makes old fluid more of a concern. We test the fluid during inspection and exchange it when it needs it, bleeding the ABS unit as part of the job.
